
Jaipur, April 8 Rainfall was recorded in several parts of Rajasthan over the past 24 hours due to a western disturbance, the Meteorological Department said on Wednesday.
The department stated that weather conditions are likely to remain mostly dry in the coming days with a gradual increase in temperature.
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Shahpura in Jaipur district recorded the highest rainfall of 45 mm during the period ending Wednesday morning.
Due to the impact of thunderstorms and rain, maximum temperatures across most parts of the state are currently running 2 to 9 degrees Celsius below normal, the department said.
It added that the effect of the western disturbance is likely to subside from most parts of the state by Wednesday afternoon.
Light rainfall is likely in isolated areas in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday, while the weather is expected to remain mainly dry in the rest of the state, it added.
From Thursday onwards, weather conditions are expected to remain mostly dry across Rajasthan for the next four to five days.
The department has forecast a rise of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures over the next two to three days.
