Thiruvananthapuram, April 10 BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Friday that the 2026 Assembly election would be the last contest between three political fronts in Kerala.
Speaking to reporters here, Chandrasekhar, who is contesting from the Nemom constituency, said that after the Assembly polls, there would be only two political fronts in the state.
"On one side, it will be the NDA, and on the other, a Congress-CPI(M) alliance, which they have in 27 states and eight Union Territories. It will come here as well," he said.
Chandrasekhar alleged that there is no difference between the Congress and the CPI(M).
"Their politics, ideology, and track record are the same. I see a big change coming, with Kerala moving towards bipolar politics. One pole will be the BJP-led NDA," he said.
He said the BJP is not an arrogant party, and that the acceptance it has received from voters will be evident on the May 4 results day.
On his prospects in Nemom, Chandrasekhar said that hard work had been put in across the constituency.
"We went to the voters and told them what we would do if they gave us their support. It is up to the voters to decide, which we will see on May 4," he said.
He declined to predict the number of seats the BJP would win out of the 140 Assembly constituencies in the state.
"We will win in less than 140 seats. We worked to gain the confidence of voters in all 140 constituencies. Now the decision is up to the people, and it will be revealed on May 4," he said.
He said the high voter turnout reflects people's growing awareness and their desire to shape their future.
"People have taken ownership of their future. This is an election that will decide the future of our children as well. That is the main reason for the high turnout," he said.
