
March 19, New Delhi – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the National Defence Industries Conclave 2026 in New Delhi today, focusing on advanced manufacturing technologies and strengthening India's defence production ecosystem.
The two-day conclave at the Manekshaw Centre aims to strengthen the integration of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises into defence manufacturing.
It also aims to promote the adoption of advanced technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart materials.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbharta in defence and seeks to enhance India's technological capability and global competitiveness in defence production.
He also highlighted the growing importance of drone and counter-drone technologies in modern defence systems.
