Jammu, March 8 – Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday seized the immovable property of a terror handler based in Pakistan in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district, officials said.
The property seized includes seven marlas of land owned by Shafeeq Ahmed, a proclaimed offender and resident of Naika Panjgrain village, a police spokesperson said.
He said Ahmed had crossed the border into Pakistan and is currently operating from there.
The seizure was carried out after obtaining the necessary permission in the form of an attachment order under Section 88 of the CrPC, corresponding to Section 85 of the BNSS, issued by the competent court, the spokesperson said.
He said the action reflects the police's commitment to take stringent legal measures against terror handlers and to ensure compliance with the law.
Further legal proceedings will follow as per due process, the spokesperson said.
