Following the instructions of the State Election Commission of Jammu and Kashmir, a special Panchayat Electoral Review Camp was organized at the polling booth level in the border blocks of Doongi and Dhangri in the Rajouri district.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, with Panchayat Secretaries and field staff educating people about the importance of maintaining accurate electoral records.
Officials provided a range of electoral services, including verification of voter details, the addition of new voters, and the deletion of ineligible entries.
Particular emphasis was placed on enrolling eligible citizens, especially those who had recently turned 18 years old, onto the electoral rolls.
A similar camp was also conducted in Saranoo, within the Dalogra Panchayat, where residents actively participated.
Participants praised the efforts of the district administration and the Election Commission for facilitating voter awareness and ensuring transparency in electoral processes.
