RAJOURI, April 8: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) of Rajouri, in coordination with the J&K Police, conducted a joint enforcement drive near the District Police Lines, seizing over 20 e-autos for violations.
Led by ARTO Rajesh Gupta, the operation targeted vehicles operating without valid documents, licenses, or outside permitted routes. E-autos with illegal modifications, including extra seating and unauthorized sound systems, were also penalized.
Officials stated that such violations compromise passenger safety and worsen traffic congestion. The department warned of continued strict action and urged operators to follow traffic rules to avoid legal action.
