The Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP) was launched in the Rajouri district as a joint initiative of Ashray Foundation and HDFC Parivartan, involving government officials, community representatives, and local residents.

The programme aims to promote the overall development of rural areas by strengthening the rural economy, improving infrastructure, creating employment opportunities, and enhancing the living standards of villagers. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Malik Sharaz, praised the initiative and assured full support from the district administration for the successful implementation of such developmental activities.

On the occasion, HDFC Cluster Head Owaish Rehman highlighted the organization's commitment to developing aspirational and rural areas. District Planning Educational Officer Sardari Lal also appreciated the efforts to renovate government schools and improve unsafe infrastructure, stating that such initiatives would help strengthen the education sector and reduce dropout rates.

Programme Manager of Ashray Foundation, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, informed that the foundation had renovated eight schools, installed water coolers, introduced BALA activities, and provided fencing in school premises, which had increased school enrolment. He added that the organization had also renovated Anganwadi centres, installed street lights in villages, and supported livelihood activities such as goat rearing, contributing to the holistic development of rural communities in the Rajouri district.
