The Rajya Sabha has congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup by defeating New Zealand. Rajya Sabha Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan said that this victory marks India's third T20 World Cup, and it is also a back-to-back title, as India had also won the previous edition. Mr. Radhakrishnan stated that the team's outstanding performance throughout the tournament has brought immense joy and pride to millions of cricket lovers across the country.

Earlier, when the Upper House met at 11:00 AM, the House paid tributes to its former members Mukul Roy, Dr. Janardhan Waghmare, and H. K. Dua, who passed away recently. The members of the House also observed silence for a while as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
