
In Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary conveyed warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that in his message, the Chief Minister emphasized the spiritual significance of Ramadan as a time for self-discipline, compassion, and introspection. He urged the people to strengthen the bonds of unity, support one another, and promote an atmosphere of mutual respect, peace, and harmony. The CM said, "This spirit of togetherness will further strengthen our society and enhance resilience across Jammu & Kashmir." The Chief Minister prayed that Almighty Allah accept the fasting and prayers of the faithful, grant fulfillment of their supplications, and bless the region with peace, prosperity, and well-being. "May Allah's blessings be upon us all. Ramadan Mubarak," he added. Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chowdhary also extended his warm greetings to the people of J&K on the onset of Holy month of Ramadhan. In his message, the Deputy CM said that the sacred month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak is a time for spiritual reflection and seeking the immense blessings of the Almighty. He urged people to pray for peace, prosperity and well-being of all. He said that the holy month of Ramzan -ul- Mubarak teaches the values of compassion, patience, generosity and forgiveness, and inspires everyone to spread the message of love, brotherhood, humanity and harmony among all. The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the people of J&K have always exemplified communal harmony by standing together in times of joy and adversity, and wholeheartedly participating in each other’s festivals and celebrations. "May the holy month strengthen the bonds of unity and usher in peace, progress and prosperity across Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
