A comprehensive SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) event was organized in the Ramban district to educate citizens about their voting rights and responsibilities. The program was jointly conducted by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, and the Ramban district administration.
The event was held in the presence of Sanjeev Verma, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, who was the chief guest. Activities included a signature campaign, a voter pledge ceremony, recognition of participants, and extensive voter awareness initiatives under the SVEEP program.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Sanjeev Verma praised the district's steady progress in voter registration and awareness efforts across Ramban. He emphasized the importance of informed and active participation in strengthening democratic processes.
District Election Officer Mohammad Alyas Khan reaffirmed the administration's commitment to inclusive electoral participation, with a particular focus on engaging youth and reaching voters at the grassroots level. He highlighted that continuous outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and facilitation measures under SVEEP are being implemented across the district to increase voter turnout.
