Patna, March 26 BJP national president Nitin Nabin has expressed hope that lakhs of devotees will participate in the Ramnavami celebrations here on Friday, describing the occasion as "historic."
Nabin, who had previously played a key role in organizing the festival in Bihar's state capital before becoming the BJP national president, told reporters here on Thursday, "I hope people will come here in large numbers to witness and be a part of this grand occasion. May this Ramnavami create history."
Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, actor Arun Govil, MP Manoj Tiwari, and other prominent personalities of the state will grace the Ramnavami celebrations, he said.
The BJP leader informed that the Ramnavami committee has been holding annual celebrations, characterized by processions and tableaux, since 2010.
"We started with eight processions way back in 2010, and this year we have planned to showcase a total of 52 tableaux. This reflects upon the growing devotion of the people," he said.
He informed that lakhs of Mahavir Dhwajs have been put up across the city, along with decorative electronic lighting, to create an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
"Just as Ayodhya is globally renowned as the birthplace of Lord Ram, Sitamarhi in Bihar, the land of Maa Sita, will consolidate its identity through events like the Patna Ramnavami celebrations," Nabin said.
