
JAMMU, March 16: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha unveiled the statue of Maharaja Ranbir Singh at the Central Sanskrit University in Kot Bhalwal and announced that the university's Jammu campus has been renamed as the Maharaja Ranbir Singh Campus.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that the nation owes a deep debt to Maharaja Ranbir Singh for his reforms and contributions to culture, education, and governance in Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that the renaming of the campus reflects the lasting influence of his vision even after 150 years.
Sinha also emphasized the role of youth in building a prosperous Jammu and Kashmir and urged them to adopt values that combine scientific knowledge with cultural and spiritual wisdom. He further assured financial support for establishing Gurukul, Sanskrit Pathshala, and Ved Pathshala institutions in the region.
Among those present were Karan Singh, Vishwamurti Shastri, Vice Chancellor Shrinivasa Varakhedi, and other faculty members, officials, and students.
