Ranchi, April 4 Two children drowned in a pond in the Ranchi district of Jharkhand on Saturday, police said.
The incident occurred in Pandra village, within the Ratu police station area, around 4 pm.
"Both the deceased were boys, aged seven and eight. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination at a government hospital," said Ratu OC Adikant Mahto.
The children had gone to play near the pond, and while doing so, they entered the water and drowned, he said.
A case of unnatural death has been registered, he added.
