
February 18, New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir advanced to their first-ever Ranji Trophy final with a dominant victory over Bengal at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground in Kalyani today.
Led by Auqib Nabi's outstanding all-round performance, Jammu and Kashmir secured a six-wicket win against the two-time champions. Bengal were dismissed for 99 in their second innings, as Nabi and Sunil Kumar each claimed four wickets, setting Jammu and Kashmir a modest target of 126. Nabi delivered a match-winning all-round performance, taking nine wickets in total and scoring a crucial 42 off 54 balls in the first innings.
Jammu and Kashmir will now face the winner of the other semifinal between Karnataka and Uttarakhand in the final.
