New Delhi, March 27 Auto component maker Omax Autos Ltd confirmed on Friday a ransomware attack on the company's IT infrastructure and said it is assessing and identifying the extent of any potential loss or impact arising from the incident.

The company's IT department had initially suspected a cyber security incident on March 26, 2026, which has now been confirmed on Friday as a ransomware attack on the company's IT infrastructure, Omax Autos Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

The company, however, said the incident has not impacted its core systems and operations.

"Currently, the company is in the process of assessing and identifying the extent of any potential loss or impact arising from the said incident," it added.

Omax Autos further said, "A detailed investigation is ongoing, and appropriate remedial actions are being undertaken based on preliminary findings."

The company further said it continues to closely monitor the situation and is taking all necessary measures to further strengthen its cyber security systems to prevent any such occurrences in the future.
