Jammu, March 16 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday emphasized the need to build a society that is technologically advanced yet humane, and said that it is time for India to regain its position as a guiding force in a world facing numerous challenges.

He called upon the youth to enrich not just India, but also the global intellectual and moral landscape.

Speaking after unveiling a bust of Maharaja Ranbir Singh at the Central Sanskrit University here, Sinha said, "India, driven by the welfare of its people, remains committed to world peace and shared prosperity. It is time for India to regain its position and guide a world facing numerous challenges."

The lieutenant governor, who also renamed the university's Jammu campus as Shri Maharaja Ranbir Singh Campus, said, "We must steadfastly prepare our youth to forge a formidable India – one that will unite nations in unbreakable unity, inspiring them to pursue universal peace and human welfare."

He said that ancient India's journey – holding science in one hand and culture in the other – was never one-sided.

"We absorbed the intellect of Brahmagupta and the wisdom of the Buddha. This campus must nurture such individuals," he said.

He also promised financial assistance to establish gurukuls, Sanskrit schools, and Ved schools in the region.

Calling upon the youth to build a technologically strong yet compassionate society, Sinha said, "We must build a society that is technologically advanced yet humane. The youth must enrich not just India, but also the global intellectual and moral consciousness. India, driven by the welfare of its people, remains committed to world peace and shared prosperity."
