The Investiture Ceremony 2026 is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Northern Command Headquarters in Udhampur. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that during the ceremony, 92 awards will be presented to soldiers and units of the Army for their exceptional service and bravery. The awards include 51 individual honors and 41 unit citations, recognizing exemplary performance across a range of operations, including Operation Sindoor.

The ceremony aims to honor acts of courage, distinguished service, and unwavering commitment to duty. The awards will be presented by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, who will felicitate the awardees for their outstanding contributions in challenging and demanding conditions. Notably, the investiture ceremony, considered one of the most prestigious events of the Northern Command, celebrates both individual and collective achievements while reinforcing the core values of valor, selflessness, and patriotism within the Indian Army.
