
Kohima, March 17 Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav emphasized the importance of recognizing the sacrifices of the armed forces on Tuesday, stating that veterans and Veer Naris (war widows) are living symbols of the nation's strength and resilience.
He noted that their stories of courage and sacrifice inspire citizens and reiterated that it is the collective responsibility of society to honor and support them with dignity.
Addressing the Ex-Servicemen Rally at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, the governor paid tribute to veterans and their families for their service to the nation.
He praised the Indian Army for its professionalism and continued commitment to the welfare of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, adding that such initiatives reinforce the spirit of camaraderie and lifelong support.
Yadav also appreciated the efforts of Spear Corps for organizing the rally and acknowledged the role of the State administration and various organizations in supporting the veteran community.
The governor reaffirmed that the sacrifices of veterans have safeguarded the nation's freedom and assured that concerns raised by the Ex-Servicemen League would be examined with due consideration.
