Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh), March 25 A week-long medical camp held in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, where thousands of people received various healthcare services free of charge, has been recognized in the India Book of Records.
The camp, held from March 17 to 24, set a record for being the "largest free multi-specialty medical camp held at a single location".
The camp, organized under the guidance of Union Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, was organized by the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Health Service Mission, Rotary Regional Medical Mission, and the Madhya Pradesh government.
"This record is not just an event, but a symbol of collective service, excellent management, and commitment to public welfare. In this massive camp, thousands of patients were provided with high-quality healthcare services at a single location, completely free of charge," Scindia said in a statement.
Specialist doctors from across the country provided consultations, state-of-the-art diagnostics, essential medicines, and complex treatment services, directly benefiting thousands of families in the region, he said.
From diagnosing complex eye-related, dental, and orthopedic ailments, to advanced medical consultations and free high-tech robotic surgeries, the camp provided various services to patients, the minister said.
With state-of-the-art equipment, expert teams, and well-organized management, the camp ensured that every patient received timely and quality treatment. This initiative not only strengthened access to healthcare but also opened new doors of healthcare for people in rural and remote areas, he added.
