February 19, New Delhi: FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup, which begin on June 11th, are expected to sell out.
Infantino revealed that in just four weeks, FIFA received 508 million ticket requests for approximately seven million available tickets. During the main sales phase in January, requests came from over 200 countries.
He added that FIFA has reserved some tickets for a final sales phase beginning in April, which will run until the tournament concludes on July 19th. Infantino estimated that the 48-team World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico could generate over $11 billion in revenue, with "every dollar" being reinvested in football across FIFA's 211 member countries.
