
Islamabad, March 19 Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has pledged complete support for the territorial integrity of regional countries, emphasizing the need to end all attacks against one another.
Dar made the remarks during a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Arab-Islamic countries in Riyadh on March 18 to discuss recent regional developments, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Thursday.
During the meeting, he expressed “complete support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence of all brotherly regional countries, and emphasized the need to end all attacks against their respective territories,” it said.
Highlighting the importance of preserving the unity of the Muslim Ummah, he called for a swift end to the ongoing conflict and reiterated Pakistan's call for dialogue and diplomacy.
He also stressed the need to address the root causes of the ongoing crisis affecting the wider region, and in this regard, strongly condemned Israel's continued aggression and provocations against regional countries.
Hosted by Saudi Arabia, the meeting was attended by foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates.
On the sidelines of the event, Dar also met with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Türkiye's Hakan Fidan, Azerbaijan's Jeyhun Bayramov, and Egypt's Badr Abdelatty, the Foreign Office said.
"The discussions focused on evolving regional dynamics and reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and collective prosperity," it said.
