
Bhubaneswar, March 17 Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, was awarded the KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 at a function here.
The award was presented by Nobel laureate from Sri Lanka, Prof. Mohan Munasinghe, in the presence of KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta here on Monday, according to a KIIT statement.
The ceremony was attended by 40,000 tribal students, who warmly welcomed Ambani with their traditional dances and presentations.
The award recognizes Ambani's outstanding humanitarian initiatives and her significant contributions to social development through education, healthcare, rural transformation, women empowerment, and sports promotion through the Reliance Foundation, the statement said.
Ambani said that these two institutions – KIIT & KISS – are a matter of pride for the country.
