New Delhi, April 7 Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on his birth anniversary on Tuesday and said that the ninth Sikh Guru stood firm in defence of truth, dignity, and faith even in the face of grave adversity.
Modi said Guru Tegh Bahadur's life was a shining example of fearlessness, sacrifice, and deep concern for humanity.
"On this sacred occasion of the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, I offer my respectful homage to a towering spiritual figure of our civilization. His life was a shining example of fearlessness, sacrifice, and deep concern for humanity. He stood firm in defence of truth, dignity, and faith, even in the face of grave adversity. May his eternal message guide us in creating a just, compassionate, and harmonious society," the Prime Minister said in his message.
