Remembering Irrfan Khan: Babil Khan Reflects on Early Years.webp

Mumbai, March 20 – Actor Babil Khan shared a series of unseen childhood pictures on Thursday, remembering his late father Irrfan Khan and reflecting on their beautiful bond.

The post resonated with fans, who commented on Babil’s reflections on his early years with his father.

In the caption accompanying the pictures, Babil wrote, “To begin again, remembering you. With my feet firmly planted in my roots.”

Babil’s mother, Sutapa Sikdar, commented, “What beautiful pictures, both with the same expression. Mashaallah.”

The pictures show intimate and candid moments between Irrfan and a young Babil.

In one picture, Irrfan is seen holding baby Babil, both looking upward.

In another picture, the late actor is seen sitting close to his son, gently holding him while engaging with him.

In a third picture, Irrfan is seen carrying Babil on his shoulders, with the little one playfully holding on as they share a lighthearted moment at home.

For those unfamiliar, Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 53, reportedly after battling a neuroendocrine tumor, a rare form of cancer.

His death sent shockwaves across the country and the global film fraternity.

Sutapa Sikdar, a writer and producer, was Irrfan’s wife for decades.

The two met during their time at the National School of Drama and married in 1995. They have two sons, Babil and Ayan.

Babil Khan has followed in his father’s footsteps and entered the film industry.

He made his acting debut with the Netflix film "Qala" (2022), alongside Triptii Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee.
