Mumbai, February 17 – Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra posted a heartfelt message on social media in memory of his late father, Sunil Malhotra.
Sidharth described his father as a man of "uncommon honesty, integrity, and cultural values."
He admired his father's moral values, discipline, and ability to live life with dignity and grace, and wrote on his Instagram, "He lived by values that never wavered. Discipline without harshness. Strength without ego. Positivity, even when life threw challenges his way. (sic)"
"From commanding a ship as a Merchant Navy Captain to facing illness with quiet courage, he never compromised, never lost his grace. Even when he was confined to a wheelchair, his spirit remained strong," added the actor from the film 'Shershaah'.
Sidharth revealed that he had inherited his father's integrity, strength, and positivity.
He stated, "Papa, your integrity is my inheritance. Your strength guides me every day. Your positivity still holds this family together."
He also expressed that his father, who passed away peacefully in his sleep, had left a significant void in their lives.
Promising to continue his father's legacy, Sidharth wrote on the photo-sharing app, "I am who I am because of you. And I will always carry your name, your values, and your spirit forward. Love you, Dad."
If the reports are to be believed, Sidharth's father passed away a few days ago, and his last rites have already been performed. However, Sid and Kiara will be staying in the national capital for a few more days to be with their loved ones.
Sidharth is believed to have been very close to his father and often spoke highly of him during interviews.
On the occasion of Father's Day last year, Sid wished his father, calling him his "favourite hero".
"Happy Father's Day, Dad! You have been my favourite hero since childhood and will always be! I admire your style, fitness, and your sense of humour. You are truly the best I know! - Your Biggest Fan #MyDadMyCaptain #HappyFathersDay," he wished his father.
