March 23, New Delhi: Several explosions have been heard in parts of Tehran, the capital of Iran.
The Israeli Defence Forces announced that they launched a "large-scale" series of strikes on Tehran early Monday morning.
Posting on social media, the IDF stated that they had initiated a large-scale operation targeting infrastructure linked to what they described as the Iranian regime in Tehran.
Iran's Fars News Agency reported that airstrikes hit five areas of the capital, with "terrible sounds of explosions" heard in multiple locations.
Iranian media also reported the death of one person in an attack on a radio broadcaster in a coastal region.
