
In South Korea, ten people were killed after a fire broke out in an auto parts factory in the central city of Daejeon. Fifty-nine people were also injured in the blaze, which is believed to have been caused by an explosion, while four others remain missing.
The Korean Ministry of Interior and Safety confirmed that 25 victims suffered serious injuries. More than 500 firefighters, police, and emergency personnel were deployed to contain the fire and conduct rescue operations. President Lee Jae Myung called for the full mobilization of personnel and equipment to support rescue efforts and control the blaze.
