The Lok Sabha is scheduled to consider a resolution seeking the removal of Speaker Om Birla today. The motion will be moved by three members of the Congress party, Mohamed Jawed, K Suresh, and Mallu Ravi. If the resolution is taken up by the Lok Sabha, Mr. Birla will not preside over the proceedings, but instead, he will sit among the members. The resolution to remove the Speaker was not taken up yesterday due to the opposition's uproar over their demand for a discussion on West Asia.
Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha will continue its discussion on the functioning of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The Upper House is also scheduled to discuss the functioning of the Ministry of Rural Development.
