Retired soldiers of the 9 JAK Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regiment celebrated their 86th Raising Day with great enthusiasm at Patli Morh in Samba today. The event was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the historic day.
On the occasion, retired Major Sain Singh Jasrotia and retired Captain Gian Singh Pathania were the chief guests.
Addressing the gathering of retired soldiers, retired Major Sain Singh Jasrotia, retired Captain Gian Singh Pathania, Captain Prem Singh Bhau, and Captain Joginder Singh Slathia said that this day is always a moment of great joy for them, as it provides an opportunity for retired soldiers to come together, meet each other, and celebrate the occasion.
They further stated that although they have retired from active service, they remain ever ready to serve and protect the nation whenever required.
