Jaipur, April 1 Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd has set a new record in revenue collection for 2025-26, recovering over ₹29,462 crore, a spokesperson said on Wednesday.

This year, the Nigam achieved 102 per cent revenue realisation, the highest in its 26-year history, surpassing the previous record of 101.02 per cent in 2017-18, the spokesperson said.

Among its three zones, Bharatpur led with 104.63 per cent collection, followed by Kota at 103.64 per cent and Jaipur at 101.32 per cent.

The high collection in Bharatpur, traditionally a challenging area for revenue recovery, was attributed to strict action against defaulters and electricity theft, and the settlement of long-pending cases through local courts.

"All 18 circles achieved over 100 per cent revenue recovery. Karauli topped at 108.80 per cent. Other high performers included Bundi (105.66 per cent), Kota (104.08 per cent) and Bharatpur (103.75 per cent).

The Nigam also ensured zero-defective meters across all circles for accurate billing. Transmission and distribution losses have also been significantly reduced, the spokespersons said.
