Rajouri, February 23: Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, and SSP of Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar, reviewed and finalized arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Bhairav Jhanki procession and Holi celebrations.
The Deputy Commissioner directed various departments to ensure proper sanitation, waste clearance, street lighting, repair of drain gratings, and removal of encroachments along the procession routes. Health teams and ambulances will be deployed at key locations, while Fire & Emergency Services will station fire tenders at vulnerable points. The Traffic Police have been asked to prepare a diversion plan, and Magistrates and volunteers will be deployed at sensitive spots for effective supervision.
The SSP assured adequate security arrangements and emphasized inter-departmental coordination to maintain law and order.
Senior civil and police officers, along with representatives from civil society, attended the meeting and extended their support for the peaceful celebration of the events.
