
SRINAGAR, APRIL 10: Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Director of Accounts and Treasuries (A&T) Kashmir, conducted his first visit to the Saddar Treasury in Srinagar to review its operations and evaluate the effectiveness of its service delivery systems.
During the inspection, he placed particular emphasis on ensuring smooth, efficient, and citizen-friendly services, especially for pensioners. He conducted a detailed review of the pension section, focusing on accessibility measures such as ramps and adequate seating arrangements for visiting pensioners. The Director also interacted with several pensioners to gather firsthand feedback and assess their level of satisfaction.
He further reviewed the overall functioning of the treasury in the context of financial governance. This included assessing the status of IT interventions, the extent of computerization, and examining employee attendance to ensure discipline and efficiency in service delivery.
Reiterating the importance of transparent and responsive governance, the Director stressed the need for continuous improvement in public service delivery and the effective use of technology in treasury operations.
