Chennai, March 13 Tamil Nadu has become an "unsafe state" for women and children, and the ruling DMK has shown no concern for its people following a series of incidents, TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna alleged on Friday.
Arjuna, General Secretary of the actor-politician Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, referred to the latest incident in Vilathikulam, where a 17-year-old girl was allegedly murdered in Tuticorin.
In a social media post on Friday, he criticized the DMK government over similar incidents that had occurred in the state, adding that Tamil Nadu was turning into a "unsafe state".
"The DMK government has no concern for its people. Especially, it has shown no concern about the safety of women and children and has no responsibility in essential matters like law and order," Arjuna alleged.
"When will the Chief Minister (M K Stalin) realize the violence, sexual assaults, and state of fear that are happening here? The people will soon answer the DMK rule that failed to prevent crimes," he added.
