Kozhikode (Kerala), March 18 Three medical students died in a road accident near Koyilandy here in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
The three were travelling on a motorcycle when their scooter hit an electric pole around 2 am, an officer of the Koyilandy police station said.
The three, who were around 19 years old, were MBBS students at the Malabar Christian College here, the officer said.
The reason for the accident is not yet known, police said, adding that it would be determined after the inquest and post-mortem proceedings are complete.
A case for death due to a road accident has been registered, police said.
