Hyderabad, April 8 Five people have been killed, and another has been injured in two separate road accidents in Telangana, police said on Wednesday.
A car hit two engineering students who were riding a motorcycle, and a pedestrian who was crossing the road, in Hastinapuram late Tuesday night.
The two students died on the spot, while the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
The car driver, who has been arrested, is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
In Kamareddy district, three men who were riding motorcycles died when they hit a negligently parked lorry on Tuesday night.
The three men were unable to see the lorry, which was parked in the dark. While one of them died on the spot, two others died while undergoing treatment in hospital, police said.
