Security was increased in Dudhnoi, in the Goalpara district, in preparation for the Assam Assembly elections scheduled for April 9. To ensure peaceful voting and prevent any incidents, police and paramilitary forces organized a road march through the town. Personnel from the Assam Police, Punjab Police, ITBP, and CISF participated in the march. The exercise aimed to instill a sense of security among voters and send a strong message to troublemakers. Security forces marched through main roads and connecting areas, urging citizens to vote without fear and warning that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order.
