Road Rage Leads to Stabbing and Arrest in Himachal.webp

Shimla, April 9 Three men from Punjab have been arrested for allegedly stabbing the driver, conductor, and two passengers of a bus traveling to Delhi after an argument over a road rage incident in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, police said on Thursday.

The accused have been identified as Nishan Pal (46), a resident of Sagla village in the Hoshiarpur district, Balvinder Singh (45), and Alish (21), both residents of Pathankot, Punjab.

According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday night near Thural village when a dispute arose when the accused, who were traveling in a Thar, attempted to overtake the bus but were unable to do so.

They stopped the bus and engaged in a heated argument with the driver and passengers. The accused are also alleged to have fired shots in the air to intimidate the victims.

The police reached the spot and arrested the accused while also taking the injured to Tanda Medical College, where they are receiving treatment. They also seized the weapon used in the crime from the spot.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Rattan confirmed the report and said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 109, 126(2), 352, 351(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and section 25 of the Arms Act, and further investigation is underway.
