
Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Choudhary, today laid the foundation stone for a road project under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the Doongi block of the Rajouri district.
The project involves the construction and maintenance of a link road from Ganali to Baed Gala, covering a distance of 6.189 kilometers. The road has been approved at a cost of Rs. 1484.54 lakh and is expected to improve connectivity for several remote villages in the area.
Following the foundation ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister also held a public meeting and listened to the grievances of local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Surinder Choudhary said that the government is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving road connectivity to promote development and provide better transportation facilities to people living in remote areas.
He said that with the laying of the foundation stone, a long-standing demand of the people of these remote villages has been fulfilled.
