Mumbai, April 7 – Actor Rohan Gandotra, who will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s project “Nasha,” starring Sunny Leone, has spoken about how the physically and emotionally demanding scenes were taking a toll on his body.
“Nasha” is a love triangle centered around betrayal, heartbreak, and emotional turmoil. It portrays a complex relationship where love takes a dark turn.
In a statement, Rohan said, “These were some of the most physically and emotionally draining scenes I have ever done. There were moments when I felt my body was giving up, but as an actor, you have to stay true to the emotion.”
He added that the project pushed him to his limits.
“I wanted the audience to feel the pain, not just see it. That required me to push my own limits, and I gave it everything I had,” he added.
The scene in question required Rohan to smoke continuously in a single take while performing a physically demanding act involving self-inflicted burning. It took multiple retakes to get everything just right. Smoking continuously over several takes began to affect his health, making the shoot even more exhausting.
Rohan began his acting career in 2014 with Ashutosh Gowariker’s show “Everest.” He gained fame with “Everest” and was later seen alongside Additi Gupta and Surbhi Jyoti in “Qubool Hai.”
He then played Yug Chaudhary in "Kaala Teeka" in 2016. He then portrayed the late star Sidharth Shukla in "Dil Se Dil Tak" alongside Jasmin Bhasin and Rashami Desai. Later, he appeared in the second season of "Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka" as Veer Verma, alongside Tejasswi Prakash, Kunal Jaisingh, and Aneri Vajani.
He was also cast in Mahesh Manjrekar’s 1962: The War in the Hills, starring Abhay Deol, Sumeet Vyas, Akash Thosar, Mahie Gill, and Pooja Sawant.
