Tanvi Sharma, who won a silver medal at the World Junior Championships, secured her third win against Anmol Kharb in their four encounters.
Malvika Bansod also reached the quarterfinals after defeating Wong Ling Ching of Malaysia.
Isharani Baruah also progressed to the women's singles quarterfinals after a hard-fought victory over Wen Yu Zhang of China.
In men's doubles, Hariharan and MR Arjun secured a convincing victory over Scotland's Alexander Dunn and Adam Pringle.
