
February 24, New Delhi – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will participate in a summit of Caribbean nations on Wednesday, according to the State Department, as he seeks a unified approach to Venezuela and pressure on Cuba.
Rubio will represent the United States at the summit of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which will take place this week in the small island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The State Department said that during his visit, Rubio “will reaffirm the United States’ commitment to working with CARICOM member states to enhance stability and prosperity in our hemisphere.”
