DODA, April 11, 2026: Road construction under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is progressing rapidly in the Doda district, significantly improving rural connectivity. Most villages have already been connected, and efforts are underway to link the remaining settlements in a phased manner.
MLA of Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar, praised the Central Government and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh for sanctioning key road projects. However, he also expressed concern over the poor post-construction maintenance and lack of monitoring, which has led to the deterioration of some roads.
