
Today, the State Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Jal Jeevan Mission to strengthen rural water supply systems, in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Union Minister C. R. Patil.
The agreement allows for the release of central funds while placing the responsibility for implementation and service delivery on the State.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma reiterated his commitment to providing safe and sustainable drinking water for all households, highlighting efforts to rejuvenate water sources.
Union Minister for Jal Shakti C. R. Patil emphasized the need for last-mile delivery and effective execution to achieve the vision of a developed India.
