
New Delhi, April 1 The First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and briefed him on the progress made in various areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, including trade and economic partnership.
During the meeting, Modi recalled the successful visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India in December 2025 for the 23rd India-Russia annual summit, an official statement said.
The prime minister also extended warm greetings to Putin and said he looked forward to their continued exchanges.
Manturov briefed Modi on the progress made in various areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, including trade and economic partnership, fertilizers, connectivity, and people-to-people ties, the statement said.
Modi expressed satisfaction at the sustained efforts being made by both sides to implement the outcomes of the annual summit, aimed at further strengthening the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.
