Construction of the Sehar Khad bridge near Kathua is expected to be completed before the 2026 Amarnath Yatra, providing relief to local residents as well as pilgrims traveling through the area.
The bridge is a crucial route for daily travel and plays a key role in ensuring smooth traffic for devotees visiting the Vaishno Devi Temple and during the Amarnath Yatra.
Last year, the bridge pillars collapsed due to heavy rainfall, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to commuters. Following this, the administration initiated reconstruction work, which is progressing rapidly. Officials stated that the bridge is likely to be completed by April of this year.
Once completed, the bridge will improve connectivity and make travel easier for local residents, tourists, and pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir.
