Samba District Farmers Face Crop Loss Due to Rainfall.webp

SAMBA, March 20, 2026: Continuous rainfall over the past two days has caused significant damage to farmers in the Ramgarh border area of Samba district, where nearly ripe wheat crops were destroyed by strong winds. Farmers from villages such as Nandpur, Jerda, Dag, Nanga, and Hire Chak expressed deep concern, stating that their primary source of income has been severely affected.

Farmers, including Balkar Singh (Kotali Matkalian), Tinku Choudhary (Nandpur), Simaranjit Singh (Jerda), and Rashpal Singh (Nandpur), appealed to the government to assess the damage and provide adequate compensation. They urged authorities to take immediate steps to support the affected farming community.
