
Satna, March 28 A female sambar deer was killed by a pack of stray dogs in a rice paddy field in Satna district, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, according to a forest department official.
The incident occurred in the morning in ward number 15 of Chaubepur village, near the Chitrakoot nag panchayat, about 45 kilometers from the district headquarters.
"The deer strayed into the field from a nearby forest. It was attacked by stray dogs, resulting in severe injuries. The villagers managed to drive the dogs away. However, the deer died before the forest team could reach the spot," area ranger Abhishek Mishra told
