New Delhi, March 13 Newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, called on President Droupadi Murmu on Friday.
Sandhu, who took oath as the 23rd LG of Delhi on Tuesday, said in a post on X that he received guidance from the President during the meeting.
"Honoured to meet Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and receive her guidance for the way forward. Grateful for her encouragement," he posted.
The LG also took a stroll through the renowned Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens and interacted with visitors.
"A lovely walk through the renowned gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning. It was nice to meet many Delhi residents enjoying the spring blooms," he said in another post sharing photos of his visit.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens, known as Amrit Udyan, attract a large number of people who visit during February-March to witness the grand bloom of various types of flowers.
