Sanghavi Highlights Tribal Development in Gujarat.webp

Netrang (Gujarat), March 13 Four leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and several workers joined the ruling BJP in Netrang, a tribal-dominated area in Bharuch district of Gujarat, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Friday.

The leaders who joined the BJP are Urmila Bhagat, the candidate for the Jhagadia assembly seat, Anantkumar Panchal from Jhagadia, Kiran Vasava from Walia, and Arun Vasava from Walia, Sanghavi said while addressing the 'Adivasi Gaurav Sammelan' (Tribal Pride Conference).

"BJP workers will always be ready to ensure the development of the tribal community and to deliver government schemes to every individual. Previous governments treated the tribal community merely as a vote bank, whereas after the BJP government came to power, development work such as roads, water supply, and other facilities has accelerated in tribal areas," the deputy CM said.

He also said that mobile network facilities will be provided in remote areas in the coming time.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several schemes have been launched, such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, tap water to every household, construction of toilets, and Rs 6,000 annual assistance to farmers. These benefits are reaching the people," he added.

In the era of social media, attempts are being made to divide society, and those who should have worked for the development of tribals merely used them as vote banks, he said, criticizing the Congress.

"Even after independence, Dalits and Adivasis remained deprived for a long time. But after the BJP government came to power, development reached every village," he said at the event organized to honor Gujarat Pradesh Adivasi Morcha president Ganpatbhai Vasava.
