
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma visited several areas in the town on Thursday to assess the situation following recent unrest and property damage. During the visit, he met with residents, community leaders, and officials, and inspected areas where shops and buildings had been damaged. The Chief Minister assured that the government would provide support to those affected. Separately, a large number of residents, youth groups, and local organizations carried out a massive cleanup operation across different parts of the town, clearing debris and damaged materials from markets and roadside areas. Authorities praised the community's collective effort to restore peace and normalcy.
